EASTER WEEKEND

Isn't this an EPIC pic?
Front page of the Saturday newspaper, no less.
Not only full moon but equinox - the next time that comes around will be in 230 years!
Enlarge the pic and check out the print.

Its been a great weekend so far.
We heard one son preach good stuff at his church meeting on Good Friday; we watched a lot of rugby yesterday plus I resurrected my blog; and today, we had lunch with the other son and later watched our junior crew excitedly search our garden for thinly-hidden Easter eggs.
This is a third generation thing.
I remember the excitement of doing that myself; have watched my own children do it and am now watching their children do it.
Something very heartwarming about that.

We have granddaugher Rachel staying over here tonight.

What a little star she is!
So far we have watched Glenn Close grinning macabrely in "102 Dalmatians" together and had supper (microscopic in her case - she has had free access to her great grandmother's rusks - her ABSOLUTE favourite!)
Now Rach is in her happiest spot, ensconced in her upper bunk, own remote in hand (heaven!), watching whatever is on Disney channel till bedtime.

Most of the family are going to congregate here tomorrow. Sadly not all (which is my ideal) but most. (Lisa, Don and Sam, we will miss you!)
These gatherings are always fun, noisy, messy and one of my life's great pleasures!
Here we are, all except Deon's (back, right) Lisa who had to work - DH and I at left back. (This taken Christmas 2007)

Happy Easter to all who value what that means.....
