Information Overload?

I have a question. . . . What IS it about men and newscasts? 6am, 7am, 8am radio news; on the TV in the evenings: Sky News; CNN, BBC News; Aljazeer News; World News: SABC 1,2 and 3 News; E-news. Left to himself, I swear DH would watch them ALL. No snippet of info would be allowed to slide past his scrutiny. . . . Fortunately, there is ME to interfere - 1. to sigh loudly; 2. then say: "Oh please, no!" 3. and, when that doesn't bear fruit, to make some sweetly tactful remark like: "Why the heck do I have to watch this stuff AGAIN!?" "We've SEEN the same news on 2 other channels already." "What makes you think its going to be different on THIS channel?!" Endearing stuff like that. You may be shocked at my harsh words to the poor male in my home but - hey!- us girls are not wired for bad info-overload. Its a matter of self preservation NO wonder we flee to chick-flix, soaps and reality tv - any light relief, however mindless, is a welcome rest from all that.

(Maybe there is a link with the ostrich family in our gene pools!) WHAT? Oh. . . . the video clip. . .

No, thats got nothing to do with the post - I just think its cute how my news-addicted DH can cavort with his grandkids as though he were 4 himself.
