Mourning the Cruelty

Is anyone else out there beginning to reel under the weight of the pain and need all over the world? A little while ago, I posted a blog about information overload, but - oh MAN! - it just gets worse. Iraq; Afghanistan; Ethiopia; Tibet; Darfur; Pakistan; Burma (Myanmar); China and, of course - right in our own backyard - Zimbabwe. On top of all this, now its zenophobia here against these suffering neighbours of ours who have sought refuge with us here. I am so ashamed of this behaviour. . . And shocked and so disappointed. I thought we'd come further than this. The hatred is directed at all the African foreigners, in my view, because South African employers would far rather employ them than the locals. The immigrants and refugees are in the main, pleasant, willing, hard working, honest and appreciative of having a job. For them to be beaten and killed for displaying a good work ethic and desiring some normality in life is beyond awful. Its a new era of "Cry, the Beloved Country"
