Life is mysterious, fascinating, intriguing. Here my words nibble around the edges of it as the mood takes me.

Birthdays, Zims and Dolls
It was my second grandaughter, Rachel's, 7th birthday today.
Hopefully I will have a couple of epic pics to post tomorrow if her mom gets them to me in time.
Hint hint, Mel.
We also had a young Zimbabwean man, his wife and 5 year old child move into our flat today for a while.
They were chased out of their place in Masiphumelele during the xeno-madness and do not want to risk going back.
And I end on a mad note.
I met an 80-something woman today at a birthday party - and in conversation I found out that she had two dolls when she was little.
(Don't ask how the conversation got there - I have NO idea!)
Here's the mad bit - her doll's names were:
No 1: Zackamonda Coral Deflayta
No 2: Serah Rina Daylight
(Say them out loud - they have a ring to them.)
My dolls were called:
No 1: Big Doll
No 2: New Doll
I feel strangely dimished

Hi, My mum bought me a doll for Christmas every year that I can remember and I only ever wanted the same doll - tiny tears. So I had an impressive collection and they were all called Sarah! Now what does that say about me? LOL
Not quite sure what it says about you, Jo - except that you make me laugh and that you are an original. . .
Thank God for originals!
So glad you popped in to visit me!
