This big strong man that the whole family looks to, transforms into a lttle boy again at times like these! Apart from the normal flu things, he has a cough that rattles the windows in their frames. At night, mostly. A LOT. For those of you who read Mel's blog, MM is nothing like her DH (see the video clip on her blog of 12th Aug, of Hooligan leaping all over her sick man who endured it patiently!) When MM is sick: he wants me within arms reach 24/7; preferably murmuring comforting words; stroking his forehead. Lots of tea and food (NOTHING seems to dampen his appetite!) He loves sympathy piled on with a spade. Would you believe: "Bokkie, tell me you feel sorry for me. . . ." I asked him if he actually felt better if I told him that. He said "Yes" Go figger Of course, the way the Springboks played today increased his miseries tenfold. I guess it made the rest of SA feel a bit sick too.
Better go - I sneaked downstairs to do this short post Got some murmurings to go murmur . . . .

Me thinks, my DH may have been somewhat less accommodating had he been as sick as Dad. We praying its not malaria or tick bit fever. And that he turns the corner TODAY!
Oh poor DH and poor you! Hope the man feels better soon!!
Ooooh - THANKS for the sympathy, Gill!
Now I know why he says he feels better if someone is sorry for him!!
Shame - he was actually REALLY sick. The doc did tests for malaria and tick bite fever.
On SUNDAY!!
Thankfully it was none of the above and he is on the mend.
Slowly
And still wanting 24/7 coddling!
Gotta love em though
*grin*
Allie, as I`m sure you know, us men really do get sicker than you ladies. It`s been scientifically proven... Heck, I never get a cold, it`s always the flu...
Having said that I hope he`s feeling better.
