Life is mysterious, fascinating, intriguing. Here my words nibble around the edges of it as the mood takes me.

Embarrassing Post
Pride is a terrible thing.
And I have folded before it - again.
Aaargh!
You may have noticed that my Feedjit Map and my Followers thingie is missing?
(Or not)
Well, what I have written above is your clue to why they have been removed.
The pressure just got too much for me:
everyone I visit in the blogging world seems to stagger under the weight of their readers, visitors and followers.
Their world maps look like a bad case of the measles; their Follower gallery is too full to show all their fans.
You actually have to click on them to see the rest of the pix!
The comparison was just too stressful.
And ja, I know its really pathetic
But hey!
I bet you who have all those followers are secretly super-stoked about them.
I would be - unashamedly!
So I'll post for another millenium and then try putting the map and follower stuff back up.
See what happens then.
Sympathy, understanding, encouragement and soothing comments all welcome.

Oh Ali I read your blog everytime you post, but I dont always feel intelligent enough to comment. Sorry.
sympathy..........
:-) Jo,
this was SO not to inspire guilt in anyone because its not so much about comments as its about traffic.
And this morning I feel a bit silly about this post anyway!
Must have been having "a moment"
Thanks for reading . . .
And thanks for sympathy, Dee. A little of that does wonders :-)
I know how you feel!
Everyone else seems to have bright red maps and mine just looks like it has a few pimples!
Oh, well! I suppose it blog more for me than how many people I think will be reading anyway.
Mmmm Ordinarylife - you can't fool me.
At least not if you are Pamiejane of Wordpress fame?
If so, you have a very impressive map with a scary amount of traffic there . . .
But thanks for the fellow feeling - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :-)
Don't stress Allie, I have those kind of "moments" alarmingly frequently. I think all bloggers do. Every now and then I have such a crisis of confidence that I wonder why I blog at all and decide to give it up, but then I slowly get back into my stride...
I really love your blog so keep at it and you are bound to gather a tribe of followers in no time!
BTW those maps can be verrrry deceiving. If you leave it up for long enough it is bound to get covered in dots, especially if you take part in Friday Fill-ins or something like that. I don't pay much attention to them at all anymore.
aw, I'm also sensitive like that... so I totally understand...
Apologies for my silence. I have so many excuses. A good one is, like Mel, my laptop has given in, so I'm blogging at work (shhhh)...
Hope all is well down there!!!
Gill and Rambler - I could hu you both!
That's HUG you both :-)
Maybe we all need a reminder that blogging won't bring fame, or at least that isn't the point. The conversation is point, sharing and challenging thoughts and life together. You have inspired me to ditch my map though, I'm reevaluating why I blog and what I'm trying to prove.
