Do you have days when inanimate stuff just seems to rebel?
This morning DH's remote would not open the garage doors. Now all your DH's may be sweetly reasonable when this sort of thing happens - mine ain't.
It freaks him out, just in principle, that any device doesn't do what it ought to.
On top of that, this involves his having to schlepp up the stairs again to get another remote. What made him madder is that the first one worked perfectly again AFTER he had fetched the backup.
Then it was my turn:
BLOGGER. . . .
Need I say more ?
We have had our issues most of this morning (it is now 12.28 - do the maths)
I had finally managed to get footage of a couple of baby whales on video but do you think blogger would let me upload the clip?
No-o-o-o-o--o
It messed with my mind a few times, just for fun, by pretending it was gunna do it, and then just stopped.
So instead of whales today, you have whining :-)
Blame Blogger -
(and yes, I know - I did read The Third Place yesterday, and I do know how petty this seems.
But we are allowed to vent even if it shows how petty we are, aren't we?
Aren't we? Huh? Huh?)
Let's see - what was next to go?
Oh ja, the sink garbage disposal thingie.
It waited till I had LOTS of yukkie stuff in the process, then regurgitated it all back into both sinks and refused to have any more to do with the matter.
Not too fazed, ( been here before) I hauled out my trusty plunger and used it with gusto.
Hmmm, that's not supposed to happen . . . . . let's just say (in case there are weak stomachs out there) that the plunger made things worse; a LOT worse.
Next up, a distinctly dodgy character walked past the house where Mel and I were having coffee on the deck (yup, managed the get her out of the Mommobile for 5 minutes!).
She raised an eyebrow at me and commented: "You are not a very good Neighbourhood Watch person this morning, Mom."
Duly chastened I tried calling the Main Manne of our NW on the two-way radio - no prizes for guessing . . . .
Yup, for the first time ever, it didn't work.
I wonder if there is a secret trade union for devices . . . . .
...................
By the way, and this has absolutely NOTHING to do with any of the above, did you hear (SA readers) that the exchange rate this morning was over R19 to the Pound!
Good grief!
I wonder what the Zim Dollar is to the Pound?!
PS: Decided to stop being such a girl and reinstate my Feedjit Map - the Followers thing will have to wait though

Please keep trying I want to see those baby whales. x
Will do, Jo.
Although at the mo, I am trying to upload an EPIC clip of Mel's kids.
A window into a boy-kids kind of humour.
Need I say - Blogger is doing EXACTLY the same thing again
Its enough to turn one grey with frustration!
