Inna dash to day - things to do and places to go
but did want to show you a couple of pix of my gorgeous and
vibey granddaughter on her Valedictory Day.
With her proud parents
Yup, her dreamed-of day has arrived -
"I've finished school!"
She expected nothing but joy And there is LOTS of that.
But it also suddenly dawned on her that there would be many people
and things she would really miss.
Do you remember when you were at school; stressing about homework, exams, siff teachers, catty classmates and
some old bat tells you:
"My dear, school days are the happiest days of your life"
If you're anything like I was, you smile politely while thinking:
"HUH?"
"Are you crazy! Daft old ***!"
Actually it was a scary thought - if school was already so bad - then, according to her, the rest of my life was going to be hell. . . .
Its only when you face leaving school that you have the:
"Ooooooohhh! -
now I know what she meant" moment.
Can you relate?
Anyway,
YAAAAY! for you, kiddo - enjoy the moment.

The smile in the top pic says it all! So sweet. It is one of those bitter sweet moments though, isn't it.
I seriously cant believe she is finished school. I still remember going to her pre-school graduation in my siff avocado pants suit.
Point is: time speeds up horribly, the older you get.
What beautiful child/woman she has turned into.
She looks VERY happy! Well done to her.
