Some Days Are Special

Fabulous day yesterday! Went for brekkie with JD, Mel to an idyllic venue in Noordhoek, 15 mins from home. I think we were both a little fraught so this was a special find It was a still, warm day, great for sitting outside on the wooden decking, surrounded by lawns and trees, under big white sunshades and soaking up the peace and quiet.

Thanks Mel, it was special!

In the late afternoon I had a rush of blood to the head and actually went for a long walk.

For those who know the geography, I walked to mid-Kalk Bay and stopped at a place called Sirrocco. Its a vibey spot on the side walk of the main road. Kalk Bay is so trendy, so full of off-beat, interesting looking people - a fantastic place to people watch. I had suggested to DH that he meet me there as he was on his way home from work. So there was me, relaxing on the couches (yes, they have couches there) And DH strolls up looking very suave in his work gear. Part of Sirrocco's attraction is that it feels like some Caribbean watering hole So our meeting felt like a secret romantic assignation; like something out of an old black and white movie The illusion was spoilt of course, by my being hot and tired from my power walk, drinking water instead of champagne and being dressed like a bag lady He thinks we should meet there a couple of times a week.

Works for me!

Be impressed - be very impressed. I did not catch a lift home with him I walked back - boy! did it feel far ... Anyway, to cap a special day, SD - who is always great company - and all her family came here to watch the 5th Nov fireworks that are set off every year on the beach. Armed with a chocolate cake - yay! I have the BEST kids :-)

Why are you wearing a Patriots hat? The NE Pat's band-wagon isn't as far reaching as SA? Is it? Concerning!

Thats ME in the hat Kevin. And I have no idea what you are talking about. The sun was on my head and my Ma lent me the cap!

Just how alike are we Mom!!??

Am stupendously impressed with all the walking and stuff - sounds like an epic day for you too.

I think we should start with breks in that spot once a week - seems to auger well the rest of the day huh?

But DH's cap.

And actually we are incredibly ignorant about your sport (sad but true) and personally, don't care who's logo is up - I just like the caps! :-)

Sounds absolutely gorgeous! I went to Kalk Bay for the first time earlier this year and fell instantly in love.
