Full of buoyant energy, fun and laughter.
Coming out with priceless gems that you want to pack in cotton wool and put on display in a cabinet.
And with things that you think you'll never forget but do.
So completely themselves
If anything can help us learn simplicity, transparency and living in the moment, it is mixing with young children.
So this is a Lulu post.
Feel free to depart if that means nothing to you.
No hard feelings
Or you could stick around
and meet a unique and vivid personality
She is 4 and still in 'that place'
Ok, this is from another day but is so 'her'
She says she is a tough princess.
I suppose that sums her up well.
Sturdy, brave and daring physically, she often sports scraped knees and shins
But also brims over with princess frills and froth -
Long filmy dresses, tiaras, necklaces, clip clop shoes as brightly coloured as possible, handbags and -
Ooooooh, straightened hair, smooth to the touch!
(It has to be viewed from every angle - and if she can't see properly, then:
"Take a picture of the back, Granny Allie")
Make up, nail polish and sparkly anything
But preferably in pink, lilac or turquoise.
Meltingly affectionate with everyone; tender hearted and generous to a fault - and funny in her off beat way.
This records some of her response to the feel of her newly straightened hair - which always makes her feel more 'princess-y'
Only dancing expresses how she feels!
Now - I must go!
That has dealt with my grandmotherly side for a while.
:-)

She is a treasure and am so glad I get to hang with her and call her MINE!
Thanks for making her time so special.

Kids are an amazing gift and they can definitely teach you so much. My wife and I want a little girl so bad and I hope she turns out to be a 'tough princess' too.
She is SO cute! You're a lucky Grandma, I hope mine bless me with grandchildren before I am to decrepit to enjoy them, it must be such fun!
I've got an award for you on my blog, come on over :-)
