Firstly, apologies to anyone who got to read my last post "Shark Spotting" in the nanno second it was up.
If you wondered what was going on -
since patently that clip was NOT of a shark -
put it down to a prolonged and infuriating session with Blogger.
I'm hoping that for all bloggers out there, that will be enough explanation.
The text was all true though.
Yay for swimming pools!
Today's post is something completely different.
And boy! do I wish I cudda caught THIS on video.
Our 3rd D-GD Lulu, aged 4,
spent the morning at our place
doing
BALLET!
Her current passion.
DH decided to give me a demo of her performance
Pirouetting and pointing toes and posing.
That alone was funny
DH is a big ex-rugby playing, Afrikaans boere-seun guy!
And to the uninitiated,
he seems quite serious minded.
(What would his board of directors think, I have to ask myself)
*grin*
Anyway, he finished his performance with 3 or 4 lavish Lulu-style curtsies,
complete with all the flourishes.
Then he withdrew gracefully from my study
Seconds later, I heard howls of pain from the lounge.
Which were followed very shortly by howls of laughter from me
when I discovered that
This squash-playing, super-fit man had tweaked his ankle from the curtsying
and was hobbling around the room, moaning.
Life is so much richer because of moments like these
Oh I know I sound like a callous cow
But I bet you collapse over stuff like this too.
Go on
Admit it
