I can live with that Its a democracy after all. And maybe he is going to try to be a good president to make up for all the stuff thats gone on in the past. I know - eternal optimist, me :-) Helen Zille, our International Mayor of the Year winner, has had a stunning victory in the Western Cape - 51 odd %. COPE, the new kids on the block have made a wonderful start - nearly 8% after being in existence for only 4 months and having very limited funds for campaigning. They are going to make our democracy just that much better, giving all races a viable alternative to the existing parties. Gunna be v-e-r-y interesting going forward. Suddenly and unexpectedly,I feel very proud of my nation and full of hope for the future. Although I know there will be many challenges for us. And now - enough already about the elections!
