I love chatting to kids. One on one preferably. You find out all sorts of things you might otherwise never have known. For example, yesterday I took GD2, known to some of you as Honey, out in the afternoon to give her mom, time to set up for Honey's 8th birthday bash. (And freak! Don't they just have to be bashes today? I was exhausted just listening to the plans!) MacD was her choice of venue Not my No 1 spot on the planet But since I wasn't planning to actually eat there, it was fine But I digress . . . I decided to do my ususal stunt And ask questions This time I got a humdinger Honey tells me a about a kid who is "sooooooo coool, Granny" With envious eyes rolling in her head. Ahaaaa - let the games begin! Me: So Honey, what do have to do to be cool?" Honey looks startled and tries to buy time.. "What, Granny?" Me, trying again: "So how do you get to be cool?" Honey has her ducks in a row now: "Oh that's easy. You just show off and behave badly" So there you go. Wanna be cool? Now you know what to do.
