A Marker Post

Today my (nearly) 20 year old GD arrived at my door, having driven herself here, BY herself.
Yup, she is now a licensed driver and I am stunned.
What happened to the time?!
It was yesterday that this lovely young woman was playing in her sandpit with a bucket and spade.
Well, that sounds weird
But you know what I mean, hey?
But what a buzz -
Having her pitch up here and sit on my floor and drink coffee with me
And chat about jobs and boys and technology and stuff, just like her mom used to.
(And still does, only she doesn't sit on the floor and doesn't talk about boys any more)
And so, another life-space is entered
This post is a marker of this new era.

It's amazing how quickly people grow up and begin their own life.

Scary! Scott spent hours driving around the cul de sac on Sat in my car. He looks so pleased with himself. Problem he is only 16

It scares me how quickly time passes.

I remember the day my eldest was born like it was yesterday, and now she is entering puberty and thinking about boys etc etce etc.

Lovely post Allie.

time does fly! You do NOT look old enough to have a grandaughter that old! (I'm assuming GD = grandaughter) Or maybe it's god daughter???
