The Rest and The Gift

Tomorrow we are off to one of our fav haunts - Robertson: that home of beautiful farms, lovely views and great wines. There to spend a few days, doing absolutely nothing that requires any energy. The most taxing thing we'll do will be visiting various wine farms to sample their wares so we can add to our wine cellar. For the rest, we will rest. What better place to ponder the unthinkable sacrificial love that has connected us to the Creator of all things? Isn't it interesting that Jesus said we should remember His death: not His miracles; nor His wise sayings; nor His resurrection - but His death? The act that legalised our reconnection with God. Priceless gift.
