Life is mysterious, fascinating, intriguing. Here my words nibble around the edges of it as the mood takes me.

"Think" and Update
I went to Margaret Feinberg's site this morning and found a comment on her blog that intrigued me.
(She has a new book out, by the way - watch this space, all of you who loved "The Organic God")
Maybe you remember a while back Margaret left a comment on my blog after I had raved about her book and I was like:
"Omigosh, how did she find me?
Is it really her?
What. . . . ?
How . . . . ?"
Well, this guy had found himself in the same situation - and was asking the same questions!
So funny. .
I bet she gets a buzz out of our reactions too :-)
Anyway
I tracked down the commenter -
His site is called "Think"
I loved it - have set it up as a fav - do yourselves a favour - visit it.
You might like as much as I do.
On a COMPLETELY different tack:
Its amazing how situations fluctuate.
The xenophobia thing. . .
What's happening now is that some of the refugees - mainly the Somalis - are making impossible demands, and complaining about many things in spite of the fact that all the people looking after them are volunteers going beyond the call of duty to help them.
(One of the Somalis living in a nearby refugee camp was caught stealing donated clothing and selling it to the indigenous people in the local township!
To the very people who had chased them out :-/ !!
Entrepreneurship is one thing but that's going a bit far, don't you think!)
So the tide seems to be turning - people's attitudes are shifting.
Like, if you hate it here so much, why don't you just go home?
There are also concerns that the camps that have been set up as temporary relief stations could develop into permanent squatter camps.
It astonishes me that a situation could come almost a full circle in such a short time; that public opinion could swing so dramatically so quickly.
Who is right?
Who is wrong?
Who can say?
