New Year Resolutions

I have a suspicious attitude towards New Year's resolutions.
At some stage, I became aware of a 'little man' on my shoulder
who
whispered sneeringly in my ear
even as I was deciding that THIS year
would be the year that I would
crack that bad habit;
start being the organised person I longed to be;
start exercising and continue
etc etc.
All that usual stuff.
This little shoulder-dwellerman,
horror that he is,
would tell me -
even as I was making the decisions,
that all my efforts were doomed.
He would remind me of all the times I had decided to change
and failed.
And I would sheepishly have to agree.
So I have learned a different way of dealing with the areas
of my life that drive me nuts.
How do you do on New Year resolutions?
And what are the things you are hoping to crack this year?

I no longer set resolutions because I feel they only set me up to fail.

Thanks so much for stopping by and do come back again. I'll be back when I have more time to look around. I just got home from a wedding and I'm beat!

I always make resolutions and more often than not they amount to nothing, but I reckon hey, why not try anyway!! This year we are embarking on a healthy eating plan and because it is very important for Rox's PCOS, we are determined we will NOT fail!

Hullo Linda - good to hear from you.
Been busy, haven't you?
See ya soon then. . .

And Happy New Year to you "kakve_santi" too.

Hi Gill - I guess you'll do very well with your latest resolution because you have such a great motivation for doing so.

Perhaps that's an answer -
a strong enough reason to persevere.

We wish you all the very best with your project.
