Words on Awards

Thanks so much Kirsty, for this award - I'm going to look up "self-aggrandizement" in the dictionary as soon as I'm finished this post -
Its always a warm and fuzzy feeling to have other bloggers let you know they like what you write, isn't it?
***
I have a problem though -
I only follow a handful of people.
And I'm very happy with them so I'm not really looking to enlarge my circle
Which leaves me with nowhere to go in passing awards on
:-(
***
So, if its all the same to you, I'd like to try a different way
Like wait for a special moment (as in a post that really grabs me)
and then hand on an award to one person for that.
***
Is that allowed?
Or is there a "Blog Award Rule Book" that says I must design my own award for that?
*grin*
(Mind you, that might be fun!)
***
Oh, by the way, Kirsty's award carries with it this text:
"This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships.
These blogs are exceedingly charming.
These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.
They are not interested in prizes for self-aggrandizement!
Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers!"
***
Blush!
***
Have a good week, people.

I think that is a terrific idea! To give awards based on a specific post. Yeah.

Fantastic idea allie! I have to confess to holding on to my awards for way too long too... I finally did it, and did them all together, thereby "breaking the rules" for the other 2 awards I got!

Oh and I left you another award too!

Glad you all like the idea!

I've just reread my post and realized that I've made it seem as though I don't think any of the blogs I follow are worth giving awards to!!!!!!!

You know I don't mean that, don't you?
Huh? huh?

Nah.
I'm sure you know me better than that by now
:-)

Thanks so much for the award, Hayley and the turbo-boost to morale from you, Lynette.
Right back atcha!

I'm liaising with Mel - we are trying to come up with a home-made award for special posts.

Watch this space. . .

Yes, I think the one rule of blogging is that there can't be "rules"...everyone does it their own way (including with awards).

Hugs,

Susan
