Frown and Smile

Some of you may have heard the shocking news that Morgan Tsvangirai, new Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, was involved in a car accident in which his wife of 31 years, Susan was killed and he was injured. She was mother to their six children and saw herself also as a mother to a hurting nation. Quote: "Zimbabwe Mourns Death of Susan Tsvangirai, PM's Wife, In Highway Crash By Patience Rusere & Ntungamili Nkomo Washington 06 March 2009 "Zimbabweans expressed sorrow and shock late Friday at the death of Susan Tsvangirai, wife of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, in a highway crash in which Mr. Tsvangirai was injured, some voicing the suspicion that the collision between the car in which the Tsvangirais were traveling and a tractor-trailer combination might not have been an accident." Tsvangirai is the long time opponent of the infamous Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe; he who has thumbed his nose at international outrage at the way he has systematically plundered Zimbabwe, violated its people and brought the country to its knees. Tsvangurai was time and again arrested, beaten up and locked up by Mugabe's henchmen but bravely refused to give up the fight for justice for his country. After years of ducking and diving, Mugabe had recently to allow Tsvangurai to take up his right to the position of Prime Minister of Zim but has, since then, told his supporters that that will make no difference to anything in Zimbabwe. He obviously plans to do what he has always done - to carry on with no regard to law, international opinion or morality. In today's Sunday Times, there is a sobering report on how many of Mugabe's opponants have met their deaths through "accidents", some of them on the roads. Is this just another of those? Now, because that is very depressing and sad AND because it is Monday and we all need cheering up on a Monday - here is one of those silly things that you can't help smiling at: EVER WONDER ...
