Do It Anyway

Right now, lots of people I care about are facing huge challenges and scary situations: far beyond simplistic solutions.
And so I, and many others, pray for them.
As I was praying this morning, the thought crossed my mind of how tiny this prayer is; how non-eloquent; how stumbling; how weak - in comparison with the giant problems.
But hard on the heels of that thought came this one:
"Remember the loaves and fishes"
And yes, I could see it.
The problem there was an enormous hungry crowd (estimated by some as around 15000 people+) to be fed and no way to do it.
A tiny offering was placed in Jesus' hands - a laughably small 2 loaves and 5 fish.
But in His hands, it became more than enough for all of them
The crowd ate its fill, and there were 12 basketfulls left over.
And so, with new confidence, not in the power or eloquence of my prayers, but in the ability of God to take something hopelessly inadequate, and make it more than enough, I will keep offering my tiny prayers.

I can only thank the Lord for knowing our hearts when we pray our prayers. Just knowing that He is interested in every little detail of our lives just fills me with so much awe.

Mark;10:27 (But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.")
God tells us to cast all our burdens on Him. We have an awesome God!
Have a great day Allie.
