Let's Try That Again, Shall We?

The blogging bug hits in our hotel room!
More bits and pieces re the journey (if you were looking for a tidy sequential record, you don't know me very well yet) We had to go via Frankfurt on our way to Malta - breakfast on the plane at 4.30am.
Ug.
Nice brekky though.
Some drama: as we came in to land, the pilot suddenly pulled up the nose
of the plane and accelerated hard.
He later casually informed us that ground control had given him instructions that would not work for a plane the size of ours so we would have to circle back around again.
Ni-i-i-ce!
Let's hope ground control gets it right next time, hey?!
Then a five hour wait for our connecting flight -
After my night with the female version of Attila the Hun and my usual losing battle with sleeplessness on planes, we were both a bit brain
dead when we got there (the look on DH's face tells the story)
Couldn't help grinning, though, when I saw this chair (see pic) - told DH it had my name on it!
When we left the airport building, the cold hit us like a hammer: it was around freezing point.
We had been so cushioned by air conditioned buildings, we had no idea what the REAL weather was doing.
Freak!
Malta would seem like a tropical delight after that, for sure.
And did.
