Random Acts of Kindness - Updated

By last night, DH's cold had developed into a nasty cough and the weather had turned rainy so he was basically confined to the hotel.
So -
What to do about dinner?
Our hotel doesn't do dinners
I bundled myself up (we wear a minimum of 4 layers + scarf + hat) and forayed out to the place where we ate, drank and made merry before.
(NOT a take away place.)
To try to get them to have mercy on us.
They were amazing!
The guy (I will try to get a pic of him before we go - a real character; ex-sailor, with a giant moustache) who served us the night before, provided a double spaghetti bolognese, whipped up a nice Italian wine, opened it for us, and then lent us their good cutlery with the request that we return it.
I don't know about you, but I am completely overwhelmed when strangers are kind or when they trust me when they have no grounds for it.
This guy ticked both boxes.
I came back to DH, flushed with the cold air, success, and a heart full of gladness.
We had a fabulous meal right here in our room, and marvelled at the many ways God can find to fill our hearts to overflowing with joy.
He SO rocks!
Today its raining
DH coughed all night and is at the doc as we speak
(Not sick or feverish - just coughing a lot)
But we have had a fantastic morning - which would not have happened if we had not had to find the doc's rooms -
But more about that another time,
maybe . . .
PS: The doc had a very good look at DH and then sent him off without allowing him to pay anything for his appointment!
Its like a parallel universe here for us right now

Oy shame man. Hope he gets something that will sort him out fast. I agree, I am most touched by 'random acts of kindness'... what a lovely story! Love you both and hoping things look up healthwise soon. xx Caio. L.
