Avatar One Liner

I saw "Avatar" recently.
You know what I came away with? A one-liner from the blue girl -
She was asked why she hadn't taught previous earthlings the blue-people's ways before.
She said something like this:
"You cannot teach someone whose cup is full"
That rich statement keeps coming back to me.
Jesus said something that resonates with that: "Blessed are the poor in spirit."
Maybe to recognize ourselves as needy is a great first step to wisdom

I saw it yesterday. It blew me, and the hubby clean away :) We just kept saying, "Wow."

15 years to make, and $500 million dollars to make. Talk about a labour of love.

I will gladly go and see it again, to be immersed in that world again, 3D glasses and all would be such a treat. I'm definitely buying the soundtrack too, it was beautiful. I keep wanting to blog about it on nessworld dot com and drovers, but can't seem to find the perfect words.

Is it good, should we go watch it?

We saw Invictus last night and the grace and forgiveness of Mandela just blew me away.

I was in two minds as to whether to see it or not but I am thinking its a must!

Definitely a line worth stewing over.

Go and see it.

Its an amazing mix of fantasy - almost fable-like; but bringing in moral, green and political hot potatoes so vividly -
Makes for irresistable watching.

And don't say you'll wait for it to come out on dvd!

Oh and PS
Of course there are elements of new age thinking etc but we just viewed that as part of the fantasy element.
Just so you know
