Life is mysterious, fascinating, intriguing. Here my words nibble around the edges of it as the mood takes me.

Challenged
My head spinneth.
DH has delegated the renting out of our place and the finding of another place closer to Cape Town to moi.
Flip!
Which end to start?
Do I find a place for us to rent first?
If a great place for us comes on the market, do I take it - even if I don't have a rentee for our place yet?
What if I then can't find someone to take our place and we end up having to pay both ends!
If I find takers for our place, should I grab them even if we end up sleeping in a tent for a while?
Or (evil laughter) camping on the doorsteps of our children . . .?
Perhaps I'm being pathetic but this scenario affects my brain a bit like problem sums used to in primary school.
Shudder.
"If a train leaves the station at 5 oclock, travelling at 63 mph and has to travel 241 miles, what did the station master have for dinner?"
You remember those?
Anywayyyyyy
Does anyone
a) want to rent a lovely over-looking-the-sea house in Fish Hoek?
or
b) have a 3 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed, 2 garaged, 1 pool house in Newlands they are trying to let?
Anyone . . . .anyone. . . .

Thus sayeth the Lord....dont move.
:-)
With your gorgeous view of the bay...I would be tempted to except that that word from Mel is from the Lord:)
ha, ha, Mel is funny. Isn't the best thing to get an agent to help you with everything? Then you only do choosing and not finding?
This is a bit daunting, but once you get into it, it won't be too bad. You just need to learn the ropes, then it can actually be quite fun. I love house hunting.
oh Allie I am sure you will do well at getting everything sorted - but my, the Lord was quite loud (and feisty) LOL.
Hi I will send you the number of my agent - she is brilliant and may need a place with a view like yours her name is annette, and I LOVE that problem sum.
wow - you're moving?? Have I missed something? Am I dumb?
I'm just asking all these questions, as I have nothing useful to offer in the way of advice or contacts...
But hey... if you rent it out for short term lets, then maybe we'd be interested for a holiday let!
Yeah i agree - get an agent to assist.
If i were you, i'd find somewhere to live first, and then rent out yr place - by the sounds of it you won't have a prob - the views are gorgeous.
@ Mel - I think "the Lord" may be somewhat biased?
@ Jo - thanks Jo: I got your agents drtails and will give her a call.
@ Kirtsy - no girl, you sho not dumb. I haven't really said much about this for a long time; its kinda crept up on me.
@ the others - gotcha! An agent it shall be.
Watch this space for developments -one way or t'other.
