Flotsam

Good news: Yesterday I got to spend the whole day with my dear senior son and his wife and indulge my mom-ness to the full. Bad news: That happened because they were both mandown with flu/bronchitis and needed to just stay in bed and do nothing. So I could smooth brows and ruffled bedding; bring trays of food (they didn't ask for anything too taxing :-) and drink and generally fuss over them. Good news: I bought new cream jeans and a great new shirt. Bad news: I had to buy a size bigger than usual. That kinda blighted my enthusiasm So I told myself : "Its just the brand." I can't say I'm altogether convinced though. At last I found a king size teal winter sheet at Woolies. Just one. Mystifying really because there were no other sheets that colour; no matching pillow cases or duvet covers. It was a lonely orphaned sheet; estranged from all its kin. So I rescued it and brought it home. Where it can match my wall paper. When I get some. And thats a whole nother can of worms. I am going to venture into the previously disdained-as-cheesy realm of wall paper. The Man and I are in agreement that we should try it on one wall: in the hopes that it will add some interest to our functional, but not inspiring bedroom. There are murmurings of alterations to the house Omishatteredcat! I l-u-r-v-e the idea of the finished product But the process! Deliver me! Perhaps the *carrot* of having our bedroom facing the sea might convince me though . . .

Oooooh a bedroom facing the sea! Sounds like it could be worth the trouble renovating!

wall paper on one wall is very vogue at the moment!! You MUST get some patterned, textured paper... can't wait to see the end result.
And is Teal the same colour as "duck egg blue?" Thts one of my fave colours...

Yup Trix - it does!

@ Kirsty - yes its the patterned textured one I'm after. Am planning to see what I can find on the internet first - but will show you what I settle on.
And yes, I think teal and duck egg blue is the same: the merest tinge of green in a soft blue?
