Traction on my day seem to utterly abandon me.
At times like these, my Mom's brisk and practical voice echoes in my head, saying: "My dear child, do your chores first, then . . . "
She was right of course.
But sometimes, on days like these, just because I can, I fill a hot water bottle, and my mug of coffee; grab a book or the TV remote; sprawl full length on the couch - and laze away a couple of hours.
Before I've done my housework stuff.
Today I have a good excuse
Its raining and cold
And since no one has yet come up with a hotwater bottle that can be worn while in an upright postion
Its obvious, I have to lie down.
My only irritation is that I get involved in stories, so tend to fight the wonderful drowsiness that invites me to daytime snoozes.
That, and the knowledge that I will have to get myself into fast action very soon.
But yip, its been lovely while it lasted.
