We Two

Today's post will be unashamedly sentimental.

Sunday 21st will mark DH's birthday and our 35th wedding anniversary 

This is my only wedding picture.

Long and sad story.

And yes, that IS a chain around his wrist that I'm holding -

all to do with his best man's speech.

I'm sure you can just imagine what he was on about :-)

But there we were: DH on his 24th birthday and me - 32, with three small children.

He is an extraordinary man, who has been an amazing husband and father

and is now also a fantastic grandfather.

                                               We were pure party animals in those days.
                               This was taken at a Naval fancy dress bash at the Military Academy

                                    There were par-tays a plenty when he was in the Navy . . .
                         By the way, I STILL have not mastered the art of eating with chopsticks!

                                                    This at a squash do, as I remember.
                     Squash has been a HUGE part of his life all the years we've been together.
                      I used to moan about it but now I'm so glad that at 59, my man is super fit.
                                                        And, a fine player to this day

                     Now we have 6 grandchildren and they all bring broad smiles to our faces.

                                                      After 36 years, still happy together.
