OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES...

I read recently on Mel's (JD)* blog that she asked her 6 year old 2 questions:

1. What do you think I worry about the most?

2. What makes me happy?

Her young daughter's answers were penetrating -
(if there is ANYONE out there who doesn't know who I'm talking about, check http://www.five-browns.blogspot.com/

Warning though - that blog is seriously addictive!

(*JD = Junior daughter )

Anyway, I got to thinking - it may be a pretty good idea to ask a couple of people the same questions.
See what people who know me well have to say.

I mean, we can have huge blind spots about ourselves, can't we?
Or is it just me?
Nah!

Sometimes wisdom is found in such unexpected places.

Like in a humourous article in a Tatler (or some such girl mag)
Stuck in a dentist's waiting room, I will read anything.

Hows this: "We do not fear what could happen, we fear what has happened"

Maybe I should subscribe.

Or maybe I should just talk to my wise 6 year old granddaughter more!

Okay, so this is a guess!

What makes you worry the most: The safety and future of your family.

What makes you happy:
The beautiful scenery, watching your grandchildren grow up and seeing your children succeed, shopping for shoes and relaxing (blogging)

Okay, so that was a wild guess
much love from Texas xx

Hmmm. What worries you the most?

I would say most of your concern centres around your kids and their lives and mishaps etc.

What makes you happy?

That we are happy. And that we are all doing well. That you are surrounded by family.

Once a mom - always a mom ne?
