Crutch Cruelty?

I'll have to get off my crutches soon.
My grandson, Hooli (3) must think my injury has turned me into an alien or something.
He lurked nervously, keeping a safe distance from me and my bandaged, swollen ankle.
When I asked him if he was afraid of my injured foot (kids can be funny like that), he answered:
"No, I'm scared you will hit me with your sticks."
Huh?

OMG I just laughed so hard at Hooli's answer that I dislodged a big hee-uge whad of phlegm. I guess laughter *IS* the best medicine.

You're welcome for the visual (snigger).

No seriously, I really needed to laugh a bit. Was me'da's funeral today, and aside from my brother acting like a colossal schmuck, it went okay.

i was there when he said this and it totally cracked me up...its not that granny is a psycho its just that she is (was) completely unco-ordinated with those *sticks*. We feared for our safety. LOL

mwahahahahaa!! Hooli belongs in my zoo, I think!
How you getting on with those sticks??
If you remember the following mantra, then going up and down stairs will be a doddle:
"Good goes to heaven, bad goes to hell"
Translated - when going up stairs, go up with your good leg first, when goling down stairs, go down with your bad leg first!
Sterkte! x

@ Ness - glad Hooli could give you a belly laugh on a difficult day. He is a very funny kid - you just never know what he is going to come out with next.

@ Mel - how could you blow my cover like that?!
I'm going to make you try walking with the 'sticks' and video yhour attempt.
Then I'm going to POST the video here :-)

@ Kirsty - thanks physio girl!
You can't have him for your zoo tho: we like having him ours.

@ Lynette - thanks for thinking of me even in the midst of your own deep waters, sweetie.
