Food, Glorious Food!

I posted a while ago about my J-DIL who has started her own line of premium handcrafted delectable goods (see 7/3/09). Someone asked for pics so here are a few. . I just wish it were possible to post tastes and textures! One of my absolute favs are her French macaroons. They are experienced rather than tasted. Indescribable! If I could, I would back a truck in there, and ask her to fill it up with them! Her stuff is just out of this world and each week when she lays out her wares at the local Food Market, I am there to reload. It completely ruins you for "shop bought" so be warned - but if you live in the area, Saturday mornings at the Fish Hoek Food Market is where you'll find her. The spirally salt rolls have things like olive, pesto or sundried tomato fillings and when you heat them the flavour floats through. . . Hoe water my mond!! Leave any thoughts of dieting behind and remember, good food is one of life's great joys!

All of it looks delicious! I have to say the "spirally rolls" have my attention. That's all the things I love...bread with bold flavors. Sounds wonderful. I just wish I didn't have to swim across a HUGE ocean to get to where you are!!

Good luck to her - i hope she does fantastically well - which I'm sure she will.

Yip, it does look delish, Susan and I agree: fancy breads are the best.
Maybe its just an added reason to visit SA??

Shayne, congrats on your new venture and thnkas for god wishes to her and your comments on my new look.
I like that it was so completely different form the old design.
The violent green will sure wake up any half asleep visitors, hey!

Apologies Frank! (Not really) Am sure you found your way to food real fast!

Lynette - oh Ja! I do not think having access to this every week is going to do my measurements any good :-)

I have had one of those non-stop , busy, moms the taxi and carer and cleaner and and kinda days... so not one morsel has passed my lips today, and it's 4.45 pm!!! I am so hungry, I could bite the arse off a low flying bird... so imagine how pleased I was to stop by your blog and read about food, glorious food! AND - then see pictures of the glorious food! I have salivated so much onto my keyboard, I am at risk of electrocuting myself! Just been to the pantry to see what I can munch.... and nothing looks appealing!! xx
So... Baker - care to send some love my way?? xx
