Write or Wrong?

This thing about writing. Early on in my life I recall my Dad telling me: "You really should write, Seen (my nickname). You have a way with words." (He also told me I should become a lawyer because I could argue the toss about anything - but that's another story.) Compliments were a rarity - perhaps thats why I remember it so vividly. Anyway he is responsible for putting the idea in my head: I blame him altogether! Writing is a love/hate thing for me. Truly. It's like a lover that I can't live without, but we fight when we're together. He makes me feel guilty when I neglect him; and when I really allow him to see how much I care, he is scratchy and distant. Anyone can see that is an unhealthy relationship. Like the one Liz has with David in the wonderful book "Eat, Pray, Love." (If you haven't read it yet, do so pronto. Its a gem) Its supposed to be a "known fact" that "everybody" wants to write a book. Actually, I can buy that. Probably because I want to - I'm nervous though If my lover and I have to be closetted away for long enough to birth a literary child, we might just kill each other first.

I really do understand Allie. The thought of writing an actual book just boggles my mind. And yet....there is always that dream.
There are lots of blogs with encouraging words for writers. Perhaps that would spur you on!

Found you through Shiny and I so feel the same way about writing - it was my Grandfather that told me I should write after seeing my poem age 10 about rain - which was rubbish. I've recently done a review about Eat Pray love film too which I enjoyed - good luck with finding clothes - you need to get into online shopping Lx
