SARK Fan

I am a fan of SARK books.
She has a fascinating mind and a unique way of looking at life
And a unique way of living it.
And to cap it all, she writes about it in these books that ignite the child in anyone who has the heart for it.

The cover gives a clue

And the first page whets the appetite a bit more
Her illustrations are as free as her thinking.

She invites us into child-freedom.
Wouldn't we all love to live in a world where naps can just be taken whenever. . . ?
Here's an extract: I'm sure she won't mind.
After all, it may well make people rush out and buy her books
:-)

"Live Juicy
Living juicy means:
Rolling down a bright grassy hill
Sleeping all day to stay in a dream
Definitely taking your shoes off at the beach
Dancing to your headphone stereo
Buying flowers that make you gasp
Kissing puppies
Running just for fun
and imagining yourself  magic.
I think it's possible to forget how ALIVE we really are.
We can become dry and tired, just existing, instead of really living.
We need to remind ourselves of the juice of life, and make that a habit.
Find those places inside that jump for joy, and do things that bring our your best, most magic self.
Keep doing them."

I wouldn't be surprised if more SARK stuff is seen on this page soon.
:-)

Ah Kirsty - thank you so much. I can't tell you how much the support of my blogging friends has helped.

About the SARK books, I'm not sure where you can get them.
I bought mine second hand for R40!
Talk about a bargain!

I'm going to try Google. . .
Or Amazon maybe?

I became a fan years ago and had forgotten about her! She is phenomenal. She has a creative journal that I want to get for Rach...and maybe myself.

Hey Mel - I got the makings of a creative journal for granddaughter 1for Christmas!
It was hard for me not to keep the stuff for myself but am promising me to look into it seriously after "the season"
